Rotterdam World Championships and Sussex Triathlon

Goalspecific athlete Becky Goodwin is in startling form at the back end of the season and has produced a couple of great races in the last few weeks. First up a trip to the World Championships WTS Grand Final in Rotterdam where she was racing the Olympic distance for the GB age group team. A solid 25min swim was followed up by a blistering bike split – 2nd fastest in her age group and a 40min run to secure an excellent 5th place…….. in the world – awesome – but a lot more on it’s way next season in major champs we hope.

As if to cement that idea, Becky raced the Sussex Standard distance event last weekend, which also doubled up as her club championships. Another stunning bike split backed up by strong swimming and running saw Becky take the race win overall and, of course, defend the club champs. Brilliant racing :-)
