Juniors and Adults racing at Osprey Triathlon

Congratulations to Tripurbeck/GS Junior athletes first of all for their great performance in Bustinskins Osprey Triathlon. Details and results of their race can be found at http://www.tripurbeck.com/blog/bustinskin-osprey-sprint/

Also, goalspecific adults were underway in their first race of the season. Claire, who only got on a road bike about a month ago, had never completed a triathlon in her life, was determined, excited and nervous, despite only just recovered from a 2 week nasty virus! Liz was also racing in her second ever triathlon, and illustrated her running form, with plenty left in the tank at the end. James was also racing in his first triathlon in 17 years. Only a few weeks back running after a knee injury, it was a real test to see how the knee was, and an opportunity to practice putting swim bike run together! All three athletes put in a solid performance, and are ready to get back to training for their longer term goals. These are Langport triathlon for Claire, Ironman Wales for James (with Bustinskins half distance as a warm up) and Liz will be performing in the Weymouth Half challenge…Looking food so far!
