2nd in Geneva

Well, after Sharons success throughout European and World Duathlon Championships, husband Derek is following suit it would seem! After a great block of training, Derek headed out to the Sprint Triathlon in Geneva as a warm up race for Alpe Huez in a few weeks, and taking the opportunity to test out the course for the World Sprint Champs next year. It was a training race, no real taper at the end of a hard block, however he was clearly on form, and finished 2nd in his age group. I have yet to hear the details of the race, however, once we have the details, they will be posted!

We will be meeting up with them in France very shortly, as Derek will definitely be racing in the short course, and I am hoping to join him on the start line, however unfortunately, I still cannot run!

I did enjoy a 3 mile open water swim today, courtesy of Bustinskins cove swims. A great, safe way to get a few miles in, without damaging the hip!
