Fran Bungay
Founder/BTF Level 3 Triathlon coach/Performance nutritionist/Level 3 Personal Trainer
Fran is a Level 3 Triathlon Coach, and BTF Coach Educator and established Goalspecific Coaching more than 10 years ago. After leaving teaching due to family commitments, Fran set up a community based Triathlon Club, Tripurbeck, specifically for juniors before developing it into a popular community triathlon club for adults and juniors. Goalspecific Coaching evolved over time and Fran continues to coach athletes from total novices to age group champions across all distances. Fran is a highly experienced and qualified coach and has recently completed a L7 diploma in performance nutrition and is currently completing an MSc in this area. She is also a top age group athlete, having won many medals at ETU and ITU championships from sprint duathlon to long distance triathlon as well as multiple IM 70.3 age group wins including the European Championships. Fran also works on developing Training Today, an Apple specific HRV app with a particular interest in the relationship between Energy availability, nutrition and HRV.
Ade Bungay
BTF Level 3 Triathlon coach/PhD/NCSL Leadership mentor
Ade is an experienced British Triathlon Federation level 3 Coach and graduate of the High Performing Coach programme with distinction. He coaches athletes across the age and ability range from novice to major championship age group medallists from sprint to ironman distance. Ade is also a BTF Coach Educator and mentor alongside 25 years experience working in Education and leadership development. He is also the chairman of Tripurbeck and coaches the club’s weekly running sessions for the local community.
Ade’s own sporting background was originally in ski racing, where he competed in Slalom to a high level, but now has replaced the ski racing with triathlon racing. He believes firmly in developing progressive training that adapts to the athlete and the wider context of their life. He is also head coach consultant of Training Today, the HRV app which works with Apple watches.
Annie is a British Triathlon Federation Level 2 diploma 121 Triathlon Coach, swimming instructor and alongside completing an English Lit degree and Masters, she has worked as a manager in a Sports Centre, managing the swim schools as well as coaching juniors and adults across all ages and abilities. She helped develop and build the Tripurbeck Junior Squad and is now coaching athletes of all ages and ability on a 121 basis. She has been involved in the sport since she was a Tristart, and has moved up through all of the distances and races regularly at 703, often finishing on the podium.

Goalspecific athletes who sign up on a 121 package are provided with a premium Training Peaks Account, unlimited communications,(in the method that suits you best) no set up fee, free access to Dorset Camp and discounted Alps training camp. Swim Squads 10 week blocks are flexible (over the Tuesday and Saturday) and are discounted. Athletes will also be invited to join our team whatsapp and team selected events throughout Europe. There is no minimum commitment, or hidden additional costs.

No experience is necessary, and we coach runners, duathletes, cyclists as well as triathletes of ALL abilities remotely and locally. There is no minimum number of hours, the key is that the training works with you and your lifestyle.

We include strength and conditioning as its an important part of your training, however, if you are specifically looking for strength work alone, we have a specialist strength and conditioning trainer as part of the team who can support your goals on a 121 basis and/or remotely.
